Leica Microsystems 2015
PROBLEM: Leica Microsystems needed a mobile responsive website for their products. One of their business requirements were that customers needed to be able to contact their call center quickly if they had questions about their products.
RESEARCH: My team, which consisted of 2 engagement managers and myself reviewed some competitor websites and came up with some iterations to get the ball rolling as we had a meeting with their stake holders in Chicago.
PROCESS: The process was held as a Kaizen event. Over the span of two 8 hour days, we sat with the stakeholders in the office and I had the opportunity to get direct feedback of what their business requirements and needs were based on the original designs I had prepared. They would discuss and go over items for an hour or two, and gave me an hour to edit the designs as needed, and I would present my latest designs with their suggestions while still maintaining best design practices. This process was repeated until the design was complete.
TAKE-AWAYS: This was a fun project to work on because I was able to become fully immersed and engaged with the client and their company. It has made me realized that I enjoy working in a fast paced environment and I do well under stress.
